Packing a suitcase | Microdeadlines

Think about your day like packing a suitcase. If you are attempting to your pack your guitar, laptop, and microphone, and a suit. You will be left with many small empty crevices

Now, you cannot fit another BIG item in those crevices. However, you can fit many small items.

This is no different when it comes to making goals for your day.

This thought is how I discovered the power of microdeadlines.

For a long time, I noticed that I was too quick to make a promise and not quick enough to carry it out.

As a result, I ended up with alot extra big goals each day, and not enough time to truly make most happen.

Now I have made the switch into focusing on smaller more direct goals or “microdeadlines”

In essence, before I can commit to doing something everyday, I will first commit to do something weekly.

Instead of trying to do 100 pushups everyday, just commit to 10.

… It’s changing my life.
